A Flight On The Eye
I'd been wanting to go on The Eye for some time and just ran out of time on my other trips to London. This time I was determined to somehow fit it in. Despite rumours of long queues and the need to book in advance, I got more or less straight on at 10.00 a.m.

'Look at those people down there - they look like ants!'
'They are ants - we haven't taken off yet'
Big Ben suddenly looks a lot smaller
Despite the height, the flight was very slow and gentle and not at all nerve-wracking
Back down to Earth
There was a fine selection of statues nearby, including these:
